For the past hour, my Anatolian has been stepping all over my last nerve. He goes outside where he barks his head off. Four or five minutes later he is scratching to come back inside. So, I let him in and two minutes later he is barking to go out.

If I don't let him out after he barks at the back door signaling a need to go outside, I'm afraid that something unfortunate like him peeing a lake on the carpet might occur. I mean...does he mean it or not? Is he woofing because he has got to go, because there is something outside that has to be barked at, or because he just wants to see how much of this I can take.

You may wonder why not leave him outdoors? Because then he sits at the door and makes these odd vocalizations followed by scratching the glass. It sounds like fingers across chalkboard. *cringes*

He has to sleep sometime...right?
