He Is Back!

The ex-con calling himself Steve that lived across from my mother's southern pasture has returned. Both he and the woman living with him did leave for a period when the Texas Rangers began watching them, but they came back and brought company. While they secluded themselves before the move, Steve did go to mom's neighbors to inform them that that more people are on their way. They are looking for trailers to house them. They also brought 5 pitbulls. He told them that the pits were chained to trees out of reach of one another.

I was at mom's two days ago, knowing nothing of any of this. Mom had me drive to that area to look at the level of water in stock tanks. It had nothing to do with these people. While there, we saw two dogs in a large wire enclosure adjoining the old tin barn by her fence. My first impulse was to go to the fence and pet the dogs. When I got closer and saw they were pitbulls that were anxious to get through the fence, I decided against chancing having my hand removed. Also, I was concerned as the fence is as old as the barn. The enclosure was built long ago to hold cattle. It was never intended to hold dogs. Extra wire was added to the lower three feet or so, but that is all.

I'm not so concerned with the dogs as the people that brought them. Why do they have five pitbulls that certainly aren't being treated as pets. Now the rumors about what all those people are up to have started again. This time, people are a lot more concerned.

So..An Acct With Little Purpose

I doubt that I post here often, but DW is being promoted on LJ to the point that I've made an acct. Perhaps if everyone leaves LJ for some reason, I'll have an alternative.
