Erestor's Fashion Sense and The Skunk From Hell

I just read a wonderful study in cliches by TopKat. It brought back a question that I've had for some time. Why is Erestor so often pictured in drab black robes? Those black robes make an appearance in most of the fics written at one point or another, but where did the whole tradition begin? Who started it? This is sad. I am actually asking questions about Erestor's wardrobe. Like an itch though, this thing with the black robes just won't go away.

The stalker is angry, but is leaving me be for now. I filed a Complaint of Criminal Trespass at the suggestion of a very nice Deputy Sheriff. The stalker has to sign a paper that saying that he has been warned (he did) and after that he can be picked up if he is seen on my property. The Deputy says that my stalker informed him that I was to stay off of his property as well. Duh...

One last ramble. A BIG downside to life in the country is skunks. One paid a visit to my front porch last night. Eeeewwwwww. The aroma has lingered at the front door all day long. I soooo hope bad things happen to the skunk who left a parting gift last night. The upside is that this has given me a new appreciation for the scented candles that are stashed throughout the house.
