What Nastiness is This?

My friends know that real life hasn't left much time for fandom lately. Yesterday was the exception. Reading my flist, I became confused. It was very apparent that not all is well in fandom. I read some of the older posts. Very ugly stuff.

It both saddens and annoys me that people are so at odds when fandom should be about the enjoyment of all. I am staying out of this save to make one statement to all.
