Not Polite to Stare, but Aiming Daggers
Jul. 26th, 2010 09:53 amI don't know if any of you are familiar with the religious sect that has taken up residence on a remote Texas ranch. Everyone knows that there is polygamy. We are all aware of the child brides. There was a raid made on the ranch by the Texas Rangers but none of the evidence uncovered was allowed in court proceedings because the original premise for granting the search warrant was based on a false statement. The justice system worked for the benefit of the offenders. I know one of those Rangers that took part in that raid. He swore me (and several others) to secrecy when he spoke of what had been seen. The most hair raising things I will not repeat but since it is common knowledge, I can mention the bed. There was a room with a bed in its center and surrounded by chairs. It is where females were instructed by older males in how to satisfy their husband. The weren't prosecuted for abusive treatment of a minor because the search warrant was invalidated.
Why is it that even though everyone knows they are openly breaking the law, they are treated with kid gloves by the justice system and not prosecuted by the state? I finally came in contact with an older man with his two teenage wives. They were a few months over the age of 16...technically legal but predatory behavior (IMO) by a man of that age. I don't give a damn who disagrees so don't try to instruct me on what is and is not considered be predation. It looks as sick as it sounds.
It seems that our justice system bends over for those men. I wish that women (not of their religious persuasion) were allowed to determine their fate without the roadblocks thrown up by the legal system. Staring daggers is as close as we can get.
