Um…Thanks?

A lawyer and an Air Force officer want to beta a fanfic for me.  *blinks*  Now, I didn’t ask them to do this.  I wasn’t even working on anything for them to beta.  No, they talked about it between themselves and came up with this on their own.  I helped each of them with papers and research projects, so they “want to ‘do something nice for me.”   

It has been months since editing or researching anything for either of them, so how did this come up now?  Anyway, I tried to explain that I didn’t want anything in return…in fact, I said it several times and in several different ways.   They are just so pleased with this idea of beta reading a fanfic that they didn’t listen….or chose to ignore me.  Personally, I am pretty sure it was the latter.

So today I had to find a fanfic in my Documents folder for them to beta.  Lol, I probably should have picked an NC-17 but opted for something more tame.  I’m going to post whatever final product comes out of it, but I have this image of a LOTR fic that sounds like a legal brief written by an Air Force captain.  Honestly, they are good at what they do and it was terribly sweet of them.  Still…
