Short Update

I've had no time for LJ lately. Fires are still burning out of control all over Texas. I have been busy assisting relatives that are readying themselves to evacuate when the fires reach their area. The closest of the large ones burning right now is still about 75 miles away from my house. My uncle had to evacuate his home Thursday and has not been allowed to return. Their home hasn't burned down to their knowledge. My sister lives within 20 miles of where one of the larger fires was last night. She took the opportunity to go on vacation. I'm helping mom this week in moving her cattle to a safer location. Fire fighters from all over Texas are battling the blazes, but the winds are high and keep changing directions. Like a lot of people, I have a suitcase ready and know what I will try to grab should the fire get within 30 miles or so. I'm out of here when that happens.

To all my friends that have written and posted fics, I am so sorry that there hasn't been an opportunity to read. When things settle down, I will have a lot of catching up to do.
